
Commander Box League runs during Prerelease and offers a fun Sealed-style Commander experience. Players buy a Play Booster box, build a 60-card Commander deck from it, and play league matches over the course of the event.
While games use standard Commander rules, deck construction follows unique Commander Box League guidelines.
Note that Commander Box League is available only for in-store play; there is no at-home play option as there is with Prerelease events.
After players open their Play Booster box, they construct a 60-card Commander deck from the contents. Buy-a-Box and Commander promos may not be used in deck building.
Players may adjust their decks between games using cards from their Play Booster box.
We recommend scheduling one Commander Box League event for each day of Prerelease weekend. Players can be enrolled in the event each day they participate, allowing you to earn event metrics credit for every entry.
Pods are composed of three to four players, with pairing left to the store to decide. The entry fee is at the store’s discretion, and stores are responsible for providing the Play Booster box for entry.
Normal Commander rules apply for gameplay in these events (e.g., 40 starting life, commander damage tracking, etc.).
Players may play with any box of Magic the Gathering containing between 24-36 booster packs STANDARD LEGAL.
Players will play 2 games with other player in the league every Friday for 4 weeks
Prizes will be given as follows: 1st 9 Propoints, 2nd 6 Propoints, 3rd 3 Propoints, 4th 0 Propoints.
At the end of the League the player who has accumulated the most propoints wins the first place prize of an additional 50 Propoints
Returns
Our refund policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned.
- Any item sold used
- Gift cards
- Foods and Drinks
- Any Trading Card Game materials, (IE. Pokemon, Magic: the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc)
- Event entries (Entries on events without attendance limitations may be returned for store credit, but only until 2 hours before the event starts)
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please, do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
In-store Refunds (if applicable)
In-store purchases require an in-store return.
Once you bring in your return we will inspect it.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed.
All returns will be made in the same tender used for purchase. If you used a debit or credit card for purchase, then you will need to have it present for the return.
All qualified returns are welcome to opt for store credit instead of cash or debit/credit repayment.
Online Refunds (if applicable)

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 days.
If you fail to pick up a purchased and held item within 45 days the item and product will be forfiet.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Not responsible for damage
We do not replace items if they are defective or damaged.
