Casual

Join us every Wednesday for Casual Commander Night, an open-play gathering built around one of Magic: The Gathering’s most popular formats. This is a relaxed, unsanctioned event with no entry fee, no prizing, and no formal rounds—just a welcoming space for players to meet, play, and enjoy Commander at their own pace. Whether you stay for one game or close down the store with back-to-back pods, the night is entirely yours to shape.

Commander (also known as EDH) is a 100-card singleton format built around a legendary creature that leads your deck. Games are typically played in pods of four players and emphasize social interaction, creative deckbuilding, and big, memorable plays. Casual Commander Night is the perfect environment to explore new strategies, test deck ideas, or finally sleeve up that fun concept you’ve been thinking about.

This event is proxy-friendly. We want players to experiment, build creatively, and participate without worrying about access to specific cards. Proxies are welcome as long as they are clear, readable, and accurately represent the card they stand in for. Our goal is accessibility and creativity—not exclusivity.

Because this event is not sanctioned, we do not report matches or enforce tournament-style rules enforcement. Instead, we encourage a “Rule 0” conversation before each game. Players are expected to communicate openly about power level, deck goals, and expectations so everyone at the table can have an enjoyable experience. Whether you prefer high-powered synergy decks, casual theme builds, or something in between, there is room for you here.

New to Commander? This is a great place to start. Regular attendees are happy to answer questions about deck construction, turn structure, stack interactions, and multiplayer politics. If you’re unsure about your deck’s power level or how certain interactions work, this environment is designed for learning and collaboration. We value respectful gameplay, clear communication, and a welcoming atmosphere for players of all experience levels.

There are no scheduled rounds and no official pairings. Players form pods as seats open up, and games begin organically throughout the evening. When a game ends, you can reshuffle and jump into another pod, swap decks, adjust power levels, or call it a night—it’s entirely flexible.

If you’re looking for structured competition, we host other events that may fit that preference. Casual Commander Night is about community, experimentation, and enjoying Magic in a relaxed setting.

Bring a deck, bring a friend, and join us Wednesday nights for an open table and a great game.

This event qualifies for our Birthday ProPass. Players who show a valid ID during their birthday month can receive one free entry into any regularly scheduled weekly event of their choice, making it the perfect way to celebrate their birthday with a night of games.
